The Sober Houses of Westchester (SHOW) are located in White Plains, New York and were established in 2023 as a new recovery program for adult men. SHOW’s houses are centrally located at 14 & 16 Longview Ave. SHOW has established a program to provide a structured, supportive environment for suffering alcoholics and drug addicts seeking recovery. While participating in the SHOW program our members stay at one of our houses. Our SHOW program focuses on Sobriety, Honesty, Openness and Willingness.
Sobriety is the commitment and requirement that all our SHOW program members must adhere to. Honesty is the principle each member and our SHOW program staff and Board live by. Openness is the trust between our members, staff and community necessary for a successful road to recovery. Willingness is what we ask of our members, the willingness to thoroughly follow the SHOW program in search of each member’s individual growth and bridge back to a new normal life after completing the SHOW program.
We are a 12-step focused program with a zero-tolerance policy on maintaining sobriety. Attendance at AA or NA meetings are required. House chores, a curfew, and weekly SHOW member meetings are also a part of the SHOW program. SHOW does not provide clinical services. All SHOW members must be employed in an outpatient treatment program, in school, or volunteering.
SHOW is governed by the SHOW Board of Directors, and the daily operations are run by our off-site House Director and our live-in on-site House Manager.
Members typically must have 30 days of sobriety to enter the SHOW program and remain in the SHOW program for a period of time from a few months up to a year and half. SHOW is within walking distance to AA and/or NA meetings every day. SHOW is about a 7-10 minute walk to the White Plains Metro North station, just across the street from White Plains Hospital and with direct access to downtown White Plains.
We have a very limited number of parking spaces which may be available. Please inquiry.
